Many companies have contacts with a variety of job boards and post their openings wherever applicable. If you have registered for Jobcomb, Monster, Hotjobs, etc. then you might come across same sort of jobs with different titles. This helps the company contact the maximum number of candidates possible. Many companies have a large talent pool to draw from because of such feedback loops.
When you post a job, make sure the job description and other information contained within the post are clear. The actual job description can vary from one company to another, but it should be genuine. When using a job board, it is all right to encourage applicants to apply to the company directly. Job boards can offer you a wealth of resumes to review, but having an internal database of candidates to query is also helpful when filling vacancies.
When you post a job be mindful of keywords or phrases that define your job. Having a clear sense of what potential applicants are looking for can help you out in many ways. The job should be able to satisfy your demands of job seekers with special consideration given to both work and academic experience.
